Hyderabad-Based CTGT Secures Major Backing from Mark Cuban, Y Combinator to Transform AI Training Efficiency
The startup has $7.2 million in funding.

CTGT, an AI startup backed by Y Combinator (YC F24), has raised $7.2 million in funding to scale AI beyond the limitations of traditional deep learning. The funding round was led by Gradient, Google’s early-stage AI fund, with participation from General Catalyst, Liquid 2 Ventures, and Y Combinator.
The startup has attracted notable support from top AI industry leaders, including François Chollet (Keras), Paul Graham (Y Combinator), Peter Wang (Anaconda), Michael Seibel (Twitch), Mike Knoop (Zapier), and Wes McKinney (Pandas). Mark Cuban, the prominent investor, has also joined the funding round.
CTGT’s Vision for a More Transparent and Accessible AI
Founded by 23-year-old Cyril Gorlla in Hyderabad, CTGT is set to challenge the inefficiencies in deep learning—a critical issue despite the rapid progress in AI models. Gorlla, who has extensively studied the increasing demand for computing power in AI, argues that simply scaling models will not address their inherent limitations. Instead, CTGT is developing an AI platform that transforms the way models learn and train.
According to Gorlla, CTGT’s AI stack can customize, train, and deploy AI models up to 500 times faster than traditional methods, all while maintaining state-of-the-art accuracy—and without relying on massive computational resources.
Efficient AI for Enterprise Adoption
CTGT’s innovative AI deployment platform is already being used by Fortune 10 enterprisesFortune 10 enterprises are already using CTGT’s innovative AI deployment platform.
CTGT’s approach has been evaluated against multiple benchmarks. In one test involving 121 classification datasets, traditional neural networks required five hours of training, whereas CTGT’s method completed the process in just 40 minutes. This breakthrough has set the stage for the company’s future upgrades, with plans to release an even faster AI training algorithm—up to 500 times faster than the current version.
Gorlla shared in a LinkedIn post, “This is just the beginning of our journey in creating the next generation of truly intelligent AI: built from the ground up to be trustworthy and efficient, dynamically adapting to your needs.”
With its groundbreaking approach, CTGT is poised to redefine the AI landscape by making AI models more efficient, interpretable, and accessible to businesses of all sizes.
