Microsoft Launches AI Sales Agents for Microsoft 365 Copilot
The new AI agents will work directly within Microsoft 365 Copilot and Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat.

Microsoft has unveiled two new AI-powered sales agents for Microsoft 365 Copilot, designed to enhance productivity for sales teams by streamlining lead management and deal closure.
With a public preview scheduled for May, the new Sales Agent and Sales Chat tools will integrate seamlessly with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Salesforce, providing sales professionals with cutting-edge AI support.
Enhancing Lead Management and Deal Closure with AI
The new AI agents will work directly within Microsoft 365 Copilot and Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat, offering advanced capabilities to help sales teams work more efficiently.
Microsoft explains that these AI agents are designed to reduce manual tasks, empowering sales reps to focus on closing deals rather than managing administrative work.
Sales Agent is designed to autonomously manage leads by researching contacts, scheduling meetings, and engaging with potential customers, drawing from CRM data, company pricing sheets, and resources within Microsoft 365 such as emails and meetings. In some cases, the Sales Agent can even handle low-impact sales tasks independently, ensuring no opportunity is overlooked.
Sales Chat acts as an invaluable tool for sales reps, accelerating the sales cycle by providing real-time insights into CRM data, emails, pitch decks, and meetings. Users can quickly query the AI for actionable data, such as identifying deals at risk or preparing for customer meetings, improving the speed and quality of decision-making.
A Major Leap Forward in Sales Automation
“Our goal is to empower every employee with a Copilot and transform every business process with agents,” said Jared Spataro, Chief Marketing Officer, AI at Work, Microsoft. The company aims to make the sales process more efficient and scalable through these intelligent agents, significantly reducing the time sales teams spend on repetitive tasks.
Microsoft also shared impressive statistics, noting that nearly 70% of Fortune 500 companies are already using Copilot. Over the past quarter, businesses have developed more than 400,000 custom agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio.
Major companies such as Vodafone and Campari Group have reported substantial efficiency gains after incorporating Copilot technology. For example, Vodafone expects to double or triple its requests for proposals, while Campari Group has reduced marketing campaign copy costs by 18%.
