RRP Electronics Flags Off India's First Export Under Semiconductor Mission

RRP Electronics Ltd, Maharashtra’s first state-approved semiconductor plant, has successfully exported its first consignment to a European customer. Valued at ₹6.51 crore, the shipment is focused on ASICS-based technologies, establishing a strong foothold in the global semiconductor market.

The company has a fully operational Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Testing (OSAT) facility and is progressing steadily under a ₹12,035 crore state-approved Phase-I expansion plan. With this milestone, RRP Electronics secures a first-mover advantage in the region, showcasing its production capabilities and global potential.

The company is also enhancing its offerings through a strategic tie-up with AMB Taiwan. A team from Taiwan is expected to arrive in April to complete the proof of concept for SIM card modules, targeting immediate market opportunities. This expansion adds to RRP's growing portfolio, which already includes IGBT and MOSFET product lines.

In addition, RRP Electronics has initiated the setup of an advanced packaging foundry in collaboration with Deca Technologies, aimed at producing components for Apple iPhones. The company is also preparing to qualify for international business through Deca Technologies USA, by establishing an OHT facility.

Further diversifying its capabilities, RRP Electronics is entering the analog devices space, with direct opportunities in the automotive sector. This expansion not only enhances the company’s technological reach but also supports job creation and strengthens the ‘Make in India’ initiative, positioning both Maharashtra and India as emerging leaders in semiconductor manufacturing.
